Our logo symbolizes that we are all connected.
Creating much larger connections by joining together.
Throughout the Indigenous communities, there are talented artisans who still work with their hands and make every item individually. The problem is that they have a very limited audience. Most small Indigenous businesses are only available publicly at powwows or gatherings. That is where the idea for Indigenous Connections was created.
We are a new subscription box business that will be exclusively for Indigenous businesses! Each seasonal box will give subscribers the opportunity to try out the latest Indigenous made products and allow them to experiment with alternative brands for the every day items that they already use. Through the Indigenous Connections' subscription box, we are hoping to increase visibility of Indigenous entrepreneurs through the expansion and modernized accessibility of their products.
Brittany and Dustin are highschool sweethearts, who married and had two beautiful children together. Brittany is Hunkpapa Lakota (Standing Rock) and Dustin is Sicangu Lakota (Rosebud).
Brittany has earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at United Tribes Technical College and her primary focus was to attend a law school that specializes in Indigenous People's Law because of the lack of adequate representation and the innate desire to connect with and help all Indigenous people. After college, the urge to connect and help others became stronger.
Dustin attended United Tribes Technical College where he obtained his Heavy Equipment Operations certificate. His array of work experiences has made it possible for him to be able to successfully connect with all levels of an organization. Dustin is a traditional family man who values his sobriety and culture by "walking the red road". Being exceptionally ambitious, he works overtime until the goal is accomplished.
